Artist Feature: Neeta!

Over the last eighteen months pop artist Upanita Goswami [stage name: Neeta] has been working with Patrice Peris Voice Studios on her exciting journey into the music world.  According to Neeta: “I knew that I wanted to sing and perform, but I always felt trapped within myself not knowing where to really begin and it seemed very daunting.”

Since starting with Patrice, Neeta has been working tirelessly to refine both her vocal and her performance skills.  Said Neeta: “After working with Patrice for a few months, I realized that her program has this in-built feature that provides incredible opportunities for singers to go out to actual venues and showcase their music and work.”  With her new-found motivation, Neeta began performing locally and can now claim a variety of respected venues on her resume, including Nu Café, El Basha, Sprit of Shrewsbury, Faneuil Hall, and Amazing Arts Center!  When asked about her best performance moment she says “[I] was at a winter festival in Needham last year during Christmas time. I distinctly remember being able to completely enjoy myself on stage to the peppy track of ‘Feliz Navidad’!”

If you don’t make it to live venues as much as you’d like, don’t worry… Neeta’s musical journey includes more than just performing. She is embracing the world of recording as well!  Neeta has been spending countless hours in the studio and has recently released a cover of Adele’s ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ on YouTube with the promise of additional covers to follow!
