Ok, ok, you can sing, that’s great! Oh, you want to be a performer and fill out a room or stadium? Well now that is a whole other field of things. Have you drilled mic tech? As a coach, I hear LOTS of great singers which is fabulous, but the ones who stand out to me and the other pros I work with are those that do it all! They have that special “charisma” that people are attracted to as performers and I would argue that it is not something they are just born with, it is something they have practiced and drilled and it involves all the above skills.
One final thought; Many people invest in their voice but fail to invest in the other areas of their craft.
