You could do all the greatest things in the world, but you may find that the second you do one wrong thing, the world is out to get you.
It’s as if people forget the good things that you’ve done and just focus on the bad. I think this comes from the fact that people are constantly evolving. Some see the need to continue to develop themselves and others don’t. When people don’t see that they need to continue to evolve, learn and grow, they’re going to jump on the things that you’ve done wrong in order to justify or make themselves appear better.
It’s human nature. They just want to feel good about themselves and if you’ve been coasting along doing great things, it can bring about a sense of insecurity in them. Of course, they’re not going to recognize that and they’re going to recognize what you’ve done wrong because it makes them feel better about themselves.
Keep in mind as you do great things, yes you may falter, most likely will, but don’t live in that. Learn the lesson, move forward, and forget about the naysayers.
