Not only is studio artist, Zoe Zhao an amazing vocalist, but she is also a talented songwriter and definitely someone to look out for!
Zoe has been a part of the studio for over a year and has always been dedicated to expanding her horizons vocally and artistically. “As an artist, I love to experiment. I have performed a variety of songs that are different from each other. I don’t think I have a specific style and I like to play or sing what feels right.”
When asked about her time at the studio, Zoe said, “Since joining the studio, I’ve gained confidence, learned new skills, and have noticed a lot of improvement. The studio has really helped me to accomplish my goals.”
For Zoe, music has always been a part of who she is. “I’ve always loved music. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t belt out songs everywhere. I have also taken piano and dance classes in the past, which have all contributed to my love for music.” Zoe went on to explain that from the time she was younger up until now, she has always listened to all different genres of music and that is what motivated her to get into music in the first place.
Something that people may not know about Zoe is that she is a great songwriter! Zoe says, “I am always working on creating new songs. I’ve been writing a lot in my free time.” She credits her musical inspiration to Gracie Abrams, Taylor Swift, Lauv, and Olivia Rodrigo and really admires their songwriting abilities.
Zoe is an active performer and regularly appears at the studio open mics! She has also performed for her church and in various choirs. So stay tuned for upcoming studio performances where Zoe is sure to make an appearance!
