“Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Zarozny.
Lexi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ever since I was little, I dreamed of being on stage where I could look into the crowd and see everyone that got me there — the fans. The only thing that was stopping me was my insecurities and extreme stage fright that I never imagined to overcome. I would just lock myself in my room and sing to the CDs I had so I could have my own “concert”, and I even signed CDs at the end with Expo marker and gave them to my fans, which at the time were definitely my stuffed animals. I always thought that this would be the extent of my singing career, but thankfully, it was only the very beginning. At age 6, I began taking lessons once a week in order to strengthen my voice, but I never planned on performing since my stage fright was always in the back of my mind. It was not until I was 15 years old that I started working with Patrice Peris and Whitney Doucet at Patrice Peris Voice Studios. I was planning to go in once a week for my lesson and that would be it since I still had never overcome my fear. After three short months of hard work at the studio, I was asked to perform at Faneuil Hall. They knew I was terrified of the stage, but they also knew it was what I dreamed of ever since I can remember. For the first time in my life, I would sing into a microphone where it was not only myself that could listen. ”…
