[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Everything in life could be likened to that of a game.  It is filled with obstacles, as well as freedoms. Sometimes those barriers are physical and sometimes they are mental. I would say that the life of an artist is both!  The beautiful side of art is that you have the freedom to create at your own will. You have the freedom to channel your energy into beautiful masterpieces and use your art to heal, not only your own, but other people’s pain.  It can be so wondrous and self fulfilling, but like any game, in order to be your best, to grow and to challenge your strengths, you must be willing to go through and break down barriers. Breaking down the barriers is going to make you the artist you are intended to become. You will get rejected over and over, you will have to fight to have others see your work as you do, you will have to overcome those who try to invalidate you and you will have to spend countless hours practicing your craft and dragging yourself to gigs!  But the true testament to whether or not one succeeds in this industry is if one is able to make their way through all of this. Knowing that these challenges are there for a reason and are part of the game has helped me push through time after time. If I want to win I must be able to confront the barriers and make my way through them!  So I encourage you all to take a moment and really look at the barriers in front of you and find a way to tackle them![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
