The world of social media can be a huge asset to an artist and help to introduce them to people from all over. It can also be a bit of a popularity contest and numbers game. The more followers, likes, comments, and views you have, the better it is; or at least viewed. With this being said, many apps understand this and allow you to buy likes and even comments. With it being a numbers game in all, it can be tempting to want to just buy likes/comments. Hey, it looks good, right? This topic has been brought up to me quite frequently and many have asked my thoughts on whether or not I agree with buying into it. So here it is. For me, if it is not real people drawn to your page by your hard work than what is the point? I want real people engaging with me. What is the value of a like if only for it to be a visual point? Yes, it can look good for those who go to your profile for the first time, but in my eyes it is best to work hard to obtain followers that engage because they truly want to. This ensures they come back and it is, for me, more personally satisfying to know they wanted to like it. Whether buying likes and comments is right or wrong is your own personal decision.
