There is no one way to succeed but I can tell you that there are certain attributes to those who obtain it. Those people are persistent, consistent, and patient.
I recently was watching a video and heard Grant Cardone say, “you can never fail if you don’t give up.” This reminded me of what I have often said to the artists I work with and continue to have to remind myself and that is to reach our goals, we must be persistent in the pursuit. This means we must not only know them but be actively putting action towards them. We must also be consistent in these actions and making sure to stay the course even in the roughest of waters. Lastly, we must be patient with ourselves and the journey as it takes time to achieve these goals. The definition of patience is,
“the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.”
Like anything in life, it tends to be the moments of turmoil that test us and the pursuit of our goals the most. I have NEVER heard of anyone rising to the top that did not encounter moments of despair and frustration. It really is important that as we move ahead, we acknowledge that there will be moments and times of restoration, setbacks, and trouble but that if we handle the problem and stay the course we will come out on the other side.
